Jalal Rastegary serves as a Research Scientist and co-lead for the College’s engineering pollution prevention and energy efficiency programs. His background is in renewable energy, bio-energy, and the sustainable management of integrated water and energy use. Jalal provides on-site technical assistance in the area of energy efficiency and pollution prevention, helping businesses/industry minimize their negative impact on the environment and reducing energy consumption and cost. Currently, Jalal serves as co-chair of the NMSU Sustainability Council and is an active member of the High Tech Consortium.
